What happened?

A software update deployed on July 18th, 2024 by cybersecurity firm CrowdStrike led to a major global IT outage, impacting any system or server running on a Microsoft Windows Operating System (OS).

Experity technical resources were alerted the same day at approximately 11:45pm Central Time that our servers and systems were impacted by the CrowdStrike-Microsoft Windows OS issues.

Has Service Been Restored?

Yes. Our teams worked through the evening and our core systems became functional early the following morning (July 19th), enabling our clients’ clinics to remain operational. We then continued to address issues related to ancillary systems throughout the day.

Currently, the following applications and related functionality are fully restored:

  • Experity EMR-PM
  • Experity DocuTAP EMR-PM
  • Patient Engagement platform (Clockwise and Calibrater)
  • Patient Engagement interfaces (both platforms)
  • Claims batch rerun and upload to Waystar (both platforms)
  • X-Ray (OnePacs) integration
  • Fax/Email service
  • Lab integrations
  • Experity BI applications
  • Various third-party systems
